Don Bosco College Mampetta Hosts Blood Stem Cell Donor Registration Drive

On 24th January 2025, Don Bosco College Mampetta organized a Blood Stem Cell Donor Registration Drive in collaboration with its Red Ribbon Club (RRC) and NSS Unit 321. The event, held at Savio Hall from 10:00 AM to 12:30 PM, aimed to raise awareness about the life-saving potential of stem cell donation. Conducted by DATRI Blood Stem Cell Donors Registry, the drive encouraged students and faculty to register as potential blood stem cell donors, highlighting the importance of donation in treating blood disorders like leukemia and thalassemia.

The initiative received an enthusiastic response, with many students volunteering to register as donors. NSS and RRC members played an instrumental role in spreading the message of “Act Now, Gift a Life,” reinforcing the impact such donations can have on the lives of those in need. The college expressed its sincere gratitude to DATRI, the organizing teams, and all the participants for making the event a success and furthering the cause of health and humanity.
