DON BOSCO HIGHER EDUCATION INDIA (DBHEI)

General

To guarantee in each Institution a significant Salesian presence, quantitatively and qualitatively, constituted by religious and lay, capable of guiding and animating a cultural, scientific and educative-pastoral project (Policies 1,2).

Specific objectives

  1. Offering a global perspective of the opportunities and challenges that the actual context of higher education poses to the IUS.
  2. Proposing knowledge, criteria and basic instruments that help in leading and managing institutions of higher education with Catholic and Salesian identity.
  3. Strengthening cooperative relationships as an IUS network through the exchange of leadership experiences and management of the directors of the Salesian Institutions of Higher Education.

Content of the Workshop

The assembly cum workshop seeks that the rectors, principals and those who play executive positions can count on basic concepts, instruments and experiences that contribute in their formation for the leadership and management of higher education institutions with Catholic and Salesian identity.

The programme is organized from two perspectives that complement each other: understanding and reflecting on the nature and organization of higher education, and leadership and management of the identity of a Catholic and Salesian institution.

About Conference

The assembly cum workshop seeks that the rectors, principals and directors and those who play executive positions can count on basic concepts, instruments and experiences that contribute in their formation for the leadership and management of higher education institutions with Catholic and Salesian identity. The conference calls the Management councils of the Salesian Institutions from India for a powwow to have a dialogue with expertise to address the following themes implicitly.
